From chaos to customer satisfaction
The story behind “More time for your satisfied customers” and how Konu started

"From my responsibilities in sales and marketing, I found that sales efforts are in vain if logistics, operations and administration do not follow."
Daan Sileghem, founder and co-owner of Konu
Before I founded Konu, I saw at close range how a mess of individual systems and unnecessary paper flows could suffocate the enterprise. The company where I worked at the time used two different accounting programs for billing, had a separate web shop and a separate warehouse management system. Data were constantly re-entered manually, stacks of documents were printed, and over and over again the same problems emerged: late deliveries, untimely stockpiling, unanswered customer questions and failure to follow up payments. Even the most loyal customers and employees get frustrated.
Then Odoo came into the picture. The efficient handling of deliveries, invoicing, stock management and communication proved essential to increase customer satisfaction. After extensive research, numerous tests and trying out various software solutions, we decided to take the step towards Odoo. During an intensive period of data migration, accounting adjustment, development, cleaning up our warehouse - including filling two containers with obsolete products - and the complete refurbishing with barcodes and locations, the tide completely tilted.
Suddenly, everything turned largely automatically. There was time again to really help customers. Bad orders fell to practically zero, payments were followed up neatly and the accounts were in order. Products were always in stock, which increased sales. When the corona pandemic started, homework and efficient e-commerce suddenly proved effortlessly feasible. But most importantly: our customers and employees found once again pleasure and satisfaction in what they did.
